About

Chasing Taboo is the story of Olivia Cunnington, a disgruntled little rich girl looking for trouble—and finding it.

After a lifetime of making all the right choices and finding herself miserable, she decides to give the wrong choices a chance. Olivia gets wrapped up in a wonderland of hedonistic rebellion, where drugs, sex, and even violence go from being the stuff of silver screen fantasy to quickly becoming day-to-day practice, and the girl who followed all the rules revels in her quest to break them all.

But her plans for personal liberation get sidetracked when she falls in love with a walking mystery named Hero, her rich father’s worst nightmare. Hero is the leader of a crime underworld that her family had worked hard to make sure she would never realize existed, and before she can slam her foot on the brakes, she’s tied in every way imaginable to a dangerous street gang. When her riotous fantasies become reality, she learns that reality has consequences—and that there is no place where there are no rules. The rules just change, and breaking these new ones could be deadly.

The Fan Fiction

The original Chasing Taboo was a fan fiction story centered around Korean pop group Dong Bang Shin Ki (TVXQ!). What started as a silly, smutty story about Korean gangsters in Dallas, Texas soon exploded with popularity, with thousands of readers all over the world checking Winglin and Livejournal daily to see what trouble Olivia and the boys were going to get into next. The enthusiasm of Chasing Taboo’s readers grew and grew, birthing dozens of fan projects such as art and videos. It was proving to have a life of it’s own, outside of the fandom for which it was created. Thus, ChasingTaboo.com, a non-fic version, was born.

That said, the fan fiction’s legacy continues, and people are still requesting it. However, I regret to inform you that there will be absolutely no references to the Chasing Taboo fan fiction story on this website other than this short passage. This website is here only to share an original story with you, not a fun, smutty, copyright-violating homage to TVXQ — though TVXQ, like, still totally owns my face off.

Stop fxxking asking me for it. Thank you for understanding.
