Hello all! Just wanted to stop and say hey and fill you in on some goings-on.

I may have to bring Chasing Taboo to bi-weekly updates instead of weekly. For one, my school schedule is like omg-I’m-totally-freaking-out-with-this-workload, and I’d rather make the chapters better by taking longer to post them than post shitty stress-fueled pieces of crap. We all remember the chapter 5 disaster, let’s not repeat such a mistake.

Next, the picture above shows myself and my label-head, Shaddow, at a Vh1 event here in the Dallas area. We’re hard at work to pull together my first EP, so wish me luck!

This past weekend was Anime Fest, where I got to volunteer at JPopHouse and talk to con-goers about awesome J-Rock. It was a rad experience–and I even gave a Chasing Taboo fan an autograph. An autograph!! 0_0 I felt so famous. It was funny to hear someone talk about Ace and Stone in person. (Thanks, Kat! I’ll never forget you!) I also recorded my first online radio appearance during the con, for Gaijin Kanpai. Check it out and listen! You’ll hear me ramble about hide, TVXQ, and Miyavi, along with shameless promotion for Chasing Taboo.

And one more order of business.

We’re all waiting for it. You–me–everybody. So when is it going to happen?

When are Hero and Olivia going to have sex??

I’m not going to lie, the rest of the story is outlined and I know what’s going to happen and how this shit is going to end. That said, everything could change depending on your input, what I had to eat that day–whatever. This is a fluid thing. So I want your input.

Should the first smut scene be romantic and meaningful? Or smutty, dirty, and raunchy? What would you prefer? (And no, I’m not going to tell you what I already have planned.) I’m curious.

Nope. The dude who fought Olivia at the bar was an Asian with a pierced eyebrow, the guy Ace had seen was a white boy with dark eyebrows and light hair.

Thanks! I’m glad! Actually, Falynn is a character I’ve been writing about since I was about 13, so I’m glad I finally get to share her with the world.

Funny you bring that up, because I gave it thought. The actions Olivia took were pretty brutal and lacked skill—it wasn’t exactly kung fu. It was really only showing that she can think fast and that she doesn’t take shit.

I think I’m in love with the term pre-blades now. Anyway, Falynn had a point though. In the beginning, Olivia really was fucking around. But things changed.

I tried so hard to figure out a way to update at the convention last night, but it totally wasn’t happening. I hate being late and I don’t want you guys to think that bringing the chapters to you on time isn’t important to me, so I seriously apologize!

Now, the next order of business. How do you guys want me to respond to your comments? LiveJournal had a good system in place for this–when I responded to everyone’s comments, not only was the reply attached to original comment on the entry page, but LJ sent a corresponding email. WordPress doesn’t work like that, so I have an idea.

Since I have your email, would you mind if I sent you a personal email responding to your comment and then posted your comment/my reply in a weekly “comment response” entry?

Let me know if you’re cool with this because I really want to dive deeper into the things you guys have to say.

And now, the latest from the battlefields of Lindsay’s War With The Chasing Taboo Fanfiction. As some of you may be aware, I’m a little exhausted with fighting the fans of the fanfiction. I get at least one message DAILY in one form or another (YouTube, Livejournal, this site) from people requesting the Chasing Taboo fanfic. (About 80% of those aware of the name “Chasing Taboo” have not read a word of this new story–or at least they act like they haven’t.)

As of recently, I’ve been holding my white flag high, giving up on any chance of putting the fanfic behind me and I even considered putting links to it in the “About” section of the site. I felt like a snob, kinda–I mean, how can I complain when so many people love something I wrote this much? It’s an honor.

However, you guys, I can’t distribute the fanfic. Fan fiction is copyright infringement, and I want to keep that sort of thing away from this website. I’m sure you can understand that.

I’m going to put an explanation of the fanfic in the about section just to settle this whole issue. I can’t tell you guys not to share the fanfic amongst yourselves–I know a lot of you have it–but please stop asking me about it. Ask your friends.
